As a Data Product Owner, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our business intelligence initiatives. You will work closely with the BI engineer and stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data products. Your understanding of both the technical and strategic sides of data will enable you to bring original thought to the projects you manage, contributing to the organization in creative and impactful ways. This is a remote position based in Pakistan, with working hours from 3 PM PKT to 12 AM PKT, designed to overlap with US time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridge Between Teams: Serve as the primary liaison between the BI engineer and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
- Data Strategy: Understand the company’s business objectives and translate them into a coherent data strategy that the BI team can execute.
- Product Ownership: Take ownership of data products, guiding them from conception through to implementation and continuous improvement.
- Innovation: Contribute original ideas and creative solutions that enhance the effectiveness and impact of our data initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the BI engineer to develop data models, reports, and dashboards that meet the needs of the organization.
- Problem-Solving: Identify challenges and bottlenecks in data processes and work proactively to resolve them.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate progress, challenges, and insights to stakeholders, ensuring that data products meet the expectations and needs of the business.
- Self-Starter: Operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking initiative to drive projects forward and deliver results without constant oversight.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a data-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence, data analysis, and data engineering principles.
- Ability to translate business objectives into data requirements and actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Creative thinker with the ability to contribute original ideas and innovative solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Familiarity with data tools and platforms such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
- Experience working with international teams and across time zones is preferred.
