Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as the Assistant Chief Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and experience in a leadership role. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineering in overseeing the maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chief Engineering in planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the engineering department.

• Supervise and lead a team of engineers and technicians in carrying out maintenance and repair work.

• Ensure that all facilities and equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential issues.

• Oversee the purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment for the engineering department.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth functioning of the hotel.

• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

• Train and mentor new engineering team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
