Business Development Consultant - Stellar Hunters
The Business Development Consultant at Stellar Hunters is responsible for driving client acquisition, nurturing client relationships, and executing business development strategies to expand the company's client base. This role involves proactively engaging with potential clients, presenting Stellar Hunters' value proposition, and working closely with the Sales Development team to follow up on generated leads. The Business Development Consultant ensures that new clients align with Stellar Hunters' strategic goals and fosters long-term client relationships to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition and Outreach
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries and regions, contributing to Stellar Hunters’ growth.
- Conduct outreach to potential clients via calls, emails, and social media, leveraging lead lists generated by the Sales Development team.
Lead Follow-Up and Qualification
- Follow up on qualified leads provided by the Sales Development team, conducting initial conversations to understand client needs and potential fit.
- Assess and qualify leads based on alignment with Stellar Hunters’ services and client profile criteria, prioritizing high-potential prospects.
Presenting Services and Value Proposition
- Deliver compelling presentations and pitches to clients, effectively communicating Stellar Hunters' value proposition and services.
- Tailor presentations to address specific client challenges and demonstrate how Stellar Hunters’ solutions can meet their unique needs.
Client Needs Assessment and Solution Customization
- Engage in consultative discussions to thoroughly understand client needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that address client requirements.
Building and Maintaining Client Relationships
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the business development process.
- Regularly check in with existing clients to understand any evolving needs and identify upselling opportunities.
Collaboration with Sales Development Team
- Work closely with the Sales Development Lead and Specialists to provide feedback on lead quality and target lists, refining future lead generation efforts.
- Coordinate with the Sales Development team to ensure that all leads are properly managed and followed up in a timely manner.
Market and Competitor Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and inform strategy.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to enhance Stellar Hunters' competitive positioning.
Pipeline Management and CRM Maintenance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, tracking client interactions, deal progress, and next steps.
- Ensure the pipeline is consistently managed, with timely follow-ups on all leads and opportunities.
Proposal Development and Negotiation
- Develop customized proposals for prospective clients, detailing Stellar Hunters' offerings and aligning with their requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while building trust and alignment with client expectations.
Client Handover to Customer Success
- Facilitate a seamless transition of newly signed clients to the Customer Success team, ensuring they have all relevant client information for post-signing management.
- Conduct handover meetings to provide context on client needs, initial agreements, and expectations.
Networking and Industry Engagement
- Represent Stellar Hunters at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the company’s reach and visibility.
- Build a network of industry contacts, leveraging connections to open new business avenues.
Tracking and Reporting Business Development Metrics
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development, such as client acquisition rates, conversion rates, and revenue contributions.
- Prepare regular reports for the Business Development Partner on business development activities, progress, and results.
Client Feedback Collection and Insights
- Gather feedback from clients on their needs, expectations, and satisfaction with Stellar Hunters’ services to inform service improvements.
- Share client insights with the Talent Acquisition and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment with client expectations.
Continuous Learning and Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on best practices in business development and client relationship management.
- Continuously refine sales techniques, negotiation skills, and industry knowledge to enhance effectiveness.
Support in Strategic Planning and Goal Setting
- Contribute to the strategic planning process by sharing market insights, identifying high-growth opportunities, and supporting goal-setting initiatives.
- Assist the Business Development Partner in refining business development strategies based on performance data and market intelligence.
