Head of Certification Management – Ductile Iron (DI) Industry
The Head of Certification Management is responsible for overseeing the global product certification process within the Ductile Iron (DI) industry. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and international best practices. The role involves managing a team, collaborating across departments, and aligning certification processes with the company’s quality and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Certification Management Strategy & Planning
- Lead and manage the global product certification process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement certification strategies for new and existing DI products.
- Analyze regional certification requirements and determine the most effective certification path.
Product Certification Process Oversight
- Oversee certification processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Collaborate with product development, quality, and regulatory teams to complete necessary documentation and testing.
- Coordinate with third-party certification bodies to meet internal requirements and deadlines.
Global Certification Management & Compliance
- Stay updated on global regulations and certification requirements for DI products.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain global certification policies in alignment with corporate quality management.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Work with product management, R&D, legal, and supply chain teams to streamline certification processes.
- Build relationships with certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
- Provide guidance on certification best practices and regulatory requirements.
Certification Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of certifications, applications, approvals, and testing results.
- Report certification progress, challenges, and milestones to senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Team Management & Development
- Lead and mentor the certification management team to enhance efficiency and skills.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the certification process.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Identify and mitigate certification risks to prevent delays or compliance issues.
- Address complex certification challenges with internal teams and external bodies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Certification process efficiency: ≥95% on-time completion
- Regulatory compliance: 100% adherence to industry standards
- Documentation accuracy: ≥98% error-free records
- Stakeholder satisfaction: ≥90% positive feedback

Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications in quality management or regulatory affairs (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO) are a plus.
Experience
- 10-15+ years in product certification, regulatory affairs, or quality management, with at least five years in a leadership role.
- Mandatory experience managing global certification processes in the Ductile Iron (DI) industry.
- Familiarity with international regulatory bodies and certification organizations.

- Strong knowledge of global product certification standards and DI industry regulations.
