Job Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a major organisation for an experienced and strategic General Manager (Logistics & Supply Chain) to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a Full-Time leadership position, responsible for the entire scope of our client's supply chain and logistics operations. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, develop long-term strategy, and lead a dedicated team to achieve key business objectives. This role is critical for ensuring the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of the company's supply chain network.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the overall logistics and supply chain strategy, ensuring it is aligned with the organisation's commercial goals.
Direct and manage all end-to-end logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
Lead, mentor, and empower the logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee departmental budgets, manage operational costs, and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
Analyse performance metrics and data to identify bottlenecks and implement robust process improvements across the supply chain.
Ensure all operations adhere to local and international trade laws, customs regulations, and health and safety standards.
Collaborate effectively with other senior management and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated operational workflow.

Qualifications

Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a relevant field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CILT, CIPS) is highly advantageous.
Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain principles, including demand planning, inventory control, and transport management.
Strong financial acumen with demonstrable experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large, diverse team.
Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working in the Saudi Arabian or wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
