IT Infrastructure and Networking Senior Technician

We are seeking a talented IT Infrastructure and Networking Senior Tech to manages, maintain, and secure an organization's core tech systems (servers, networks, cloud, databases) to ensure smooth operations, handling installations, upgrades, backups, user support, and troubleshooting while focusing on uptime, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and policy enforcement. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • System & Network Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical/virtual), LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Security: Implement and manage security solutions (antivirus, intrusion detection), access controls, and compliance.
  • Performance & Uptime: Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, resolve outages, and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Data Management: Manage backups, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity.
  • User Support: Provide technical assistance, resolve user issues, and train staff on new systems.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and network diagrams.
  • Proactive Improvement: Research and recommend new technologies, develop procedures, and optimize

Preferred Skills:

 

  • 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure. 
  • Technical: Network protocols, TCP/IP, routing/switching, firewalls, virtualization, scripting, cloud services, security best practices, hardware/software configuration.
  • Experience: Systems administration, network engineering, data center management, IT security.
  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving, communication, project management, strategic planning, teamwork. 
  • Proven experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. 
  • Skilled in designing secure, scalable LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with Netgear, Cisco, Juniper, or enterprise networking tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues.
  • Experience with VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network security
  • Confidence implementing monitoring and failover systems
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and network diagrams
  • Strong project coordination and communication skills
