Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Assurance Senior to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading assurance engagements, mentoring junior team members, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will play a key part in the planning, execution, and completion of audit and assurance projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements from planning through to completion.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior associates, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional development.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
- Perform detailed reviews of financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Identify and analyse key business and financial risks, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Communicate audit findings, key issues, and recommendations clearly to senior management and partners.
- Ensure engagements are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our assurance practices and methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in an external audit or assurance role, preferably within a public accounting firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
- Proven experience in leading engagement teams and supervising junior staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
