Robert Quinn Ltd, one of Ireland's leading construction companies with nearly 50 years of industry experience, is seeking a dedicated and strategic Procurement Manager to join our esteemed team. Specialising in high-quality commercial, retail, healthcare, and pharmaceutical construction, our organisation is renowned for its exceptional workmanship and timely project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain management. This is a Full-Time position offering a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 USD per annum. We are looking for an experienced professional who can develop and execute effective procurement strategies to support our diverse and high-value projects.
Responsibilities
As a Procurement Manager, you will be integral to our operational success. Your key duties will include:
* Developing, honing, and executing new and improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.
* Sourcing and engaging with a network of reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure the acquisition of high-quality materials and services.
* Negotiating with suppliers to secure the most advantageous terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
* Managing and reviewing contracts with suppliers to ensure ongoing feasibility and value for money.
* Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key vendors and stakeholders.
* Monitoring procurement budgets and implementing strategies for cost reduction and long-term savings.
* Collaborating closely with project managers and other key personnel to ensure procurement aligns with project specifications and deadlines.
* Analysing market trends and performing risk assessments for supply contracts and agreements.
* Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
* Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Sourcing Manager, or in a similar senior role, preferably within the construction industry.
* A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of sourcing, procurement techniques, and effective negotiation tactics.
* Experience in collecting and analysing data to inform strategic decisions.
* Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
* Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software and the MS Office Suite.
* A professional certification, such as from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), would be highly advantageous.
* Experience with projects in the healthcare, educational, or pharmaceutical sectors is desirable.
