Colaval, a leading manufacturer specialising in high-quality control valves and water treatment solutions, is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and developing the software that powers our cutting-edge industrial products and internal systems, contributing directly to our mission of providing innovative and effective solutions to a global clientele across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications for our control systems and product lines.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with company standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Participate actively in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a professional software development role.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, or C#.
- Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- (Desirable) Experience with embedded systems, industrial automation, or IoT technologies would be highly advantageous.
