Colaval, a leading manufacturer specialising in high-quality control valves and water treatment solutions, is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and developing the software that powers our cutting-edge industrial products and internal systems, contributing directly to our mission of providing innovative and effective solutions to a global clientele across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications for our control systems and product lines.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and features.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with company standards and best practices.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software systems.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Participate actively in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in a professional software development role.
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, or C#.
Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
(Desirable) Experience with embedded systems, industrial automation, or IoT technologies would be highly advantageous.
