We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our product development process, ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will work in close collaboration with our development and product teams to identify and resolve issues, contributing directly to the success of our products and the satisfaction of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Identify, record, and thoroughly document software defects using our bug tracking system.
- Perform detailed regression testing to validate that bug fixes have been implemented correctly.
- Collaborate with product managers and software developers to understand system requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Estimate, prioritise, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Monitor the debugging process and report on test metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay current with new testing tools, test strategies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven professional experience in a software quality assurance role.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Demonstrable experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) would be a plus.
