Logistics Operations Manager – Refrigerated Transport

Job Overview
On behalf of a confidential client, a prominent organisation within the logistics sector, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead their refrigerated transport division. This is a Full-Time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cold chain logistics operations, ensuring the efficient, timely, and safe transportation of temperature-sensitive goods. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of fleet management, route optimisation, and the specific regulations governing refrigerated transport.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the refrigerated transport fleet and associated logistics activities.
- Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency, improve service levels, and reduce costs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all transportation, health, and safety regulations, with a particular focus on maintaining the integrity of the cold chain.
- Oversee route planning, vehicle scheduling, and driver management to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
- Monitor the performance and maintenance of the refrigerated vehicle fleet, coordinating repairs and servicing to minimise downtime.
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and third-party logistics partners to ensure seamless service delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Analyse operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Provide strong leadership, training, and development for the logistics team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior logistics or supply chain role, with demonstrable expertise in refrigerated or cold chain transport.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, fleet management, and the regulatory landscape in Saudi Arabia.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- High proficiency in using logistics management software and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
