Principal Architect / General Manager – India Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Architect / General Manager to lead our Architecture, Design, Multimedia, Signage, and Fit-Out operations in India.

The ideal candidate will combine strong architectural expertise with business leadership, project management, client development, and team management. The role will oversee the India team while coordinating closely with the Saudi-based operations and supporting the company's expansion into external projects and new markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the India operations, including architecture, design, BIM, signage, multimedia, and project teams.

  • Oversee the design and delivery of F&B, retail, restaurant, hospitality, and fit-out projects.

  • Manage and develop Architects, Interior Designers, BIM professionals, and other technical teams.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

  • Coordinate with Saudi-based teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Develop new business opportunities and build relationships with external clients beyond Group projects.

  • Lead client presentations, proposals, negotiations, and project discussions.

  • Establish design standards, workflows, quality controls, and operational processes.

  • Monitor project profitability, resources, timelines, and overall business performance.

  • Drive the growth and expansion of the India operation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

  • 12+ years of experience in Architecture, Design, Fit-Out, or related industries.

  • Proven experience in F&B, retail, hospitality, restaurant, and commercial projects.

  • Previous experience managing architectural/design teams or an office is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of BIM, architectural design, construction documentation, and project delivery.

  • Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.

  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • GCC/Saudi project experience is highly preferred.

  • Willingness to coordinate and work closely with international teams.

A senior architect with a strong business and leadership mindset who can manage the India operation, maintain design excellence, deliver projects successfully, and help transform the business from primarily Group projects into a broader external client-focused Architecture & Design business.
